Medbase Apotheken AG acquires Hornstein AG.

BDO acted as lead advisor to the shareholders of Hornstein AG during the entire sales process to Medbase Apotheken AG. This included the preparation of the sales documentation, identification and approach of potential buyers, support during the buyer's due diligence, negotiations as well as the entire process management until the closing of the transaction.

Hornstein AG is a pharmacy in the centre of Reinach BL which does also operate a health food shop. The company has approx. 25 employees. The buyer is the Swiss Medbase Apotheken AG and thus a company of the retail giant Migros. The buyer intends to continue operating the pharmacy in Reinach BL.
