Welti-Furrer Pneukran und Spezialtransporte AG acquires Fanger Kran AG und Frey + Egle AG.

BDO's M&A team acted as lead advisor to the shareholders of Fanger Kran AG and Frey + Egle AG in the context of the sale to Welti-Furrer Pneukran und Spezialtransporte AG. This included the preparation of the sales documentation, approach of potential buyers, support during the buyer's due diligence, negotiations as well as the entire process management until the closing of the transaction.

Fanger Kran AG, together with Frey + Egle AG, formed the cranes and transports division of Saxula AG. Due to the upcoming succession plan, Saxula AG has decided to focus on its core competencies and to transfer the cranes and transports division (Fanger Kran AG and Frey + Egle AG) to new ownership.

The buyer is Welti-Furrer Pneukran und Spezialtransporte AG. The company is one of the oldest and largest transport companies in Switzerland. Welti-Furrer Pneukran und Spezialtransporte AG has been owned by the Knecht Group since 1993.
