Peter Baumgartner has been a Member of the Executive Board and Head of Central Switzerland Region at BDO since 1 January 2022.
He was appointed a Partner in 2002 and has been a Member of Management Central Switzerland Region since 2008. As Head of Advisory, Mr Baumgartner has been with BDO since 1999 and during this time has mainly managed M&A, valuation, restructuring and due diligence projects. During his career, he has held a number of management positions in various service sectors and can draw on a wealth of knowledge and experience.
As a member of the boards of various SMEs, he is happy to pass on his professional experience to strengthen the respective boards. For many years, Peter Baumgartner was also a lecturer at the Institute for Financial Services (IFZ) in Zug, where he helped present the introductory course for board members on the subject of "Corporate financial management". He is currently lecturing at IFZ on "The role of the SME board of directors in corporate transactions (M&A)".
He graduated in business administration from the University of Zurich (lic.oec.publ.) and subsequently trained to become a certified auditor.
